Characteristics and Design Standards of Medical Cold Storage
发布时间:2023-04-27

Many pharmaceutical companies have installed cold storage facilities, mainly to store various drugs that cannot be guaranteed at room temperature, and to prevent drug deterioration and failure at low temperatures, thereby extending the shelf life of drugs. The storage temperature is generally -5~8. The following is a brief introduction to the medical cold storage.

The medical cold storage warehouse adopts hard polyurethane insulation sandwich panels, which are formed in one go using high-pressure foaming technology. The double-sided color steel plate adopts advanced eccentric hooks and slot hooks, and the eccentric connection method of the warehouse plate achieves close connection between the warehouse plate and the warehouse plate. Sealing performance reduces cold air leakage. The T-shaped panel, wall panel, and corner panel combination refrigerator can be assembled in any space. Scientific design, simple and practical.

Characteristics of medical cold storage equipment:

1. The cold storage is equipped with backup refrigeration units to ensure that the normal storage of drugs, vaccines, and related products and equipment in the warehouse will not be affected by the operation of the backup units when the commonly used units stop working due to faults;

2. The mechanical equipment adopts imported components and is strictly inspected before leaving the factory, with few faults, low noise, and reliable operation;

3. The refrigeration control system adopts automatic microcomputer electrical control technology, which automatically monitors, records, and controls the temperature and humidity of the storage area. It is equipped with a temperature and humidity recorder with high-precision sensors and a fault alarm device to ensure the normal storage of drugs, vaccines, and related equipment in the warehouse.

The construction of medical cold storage is completely different from ordinary cold storage, and the construction standards for medical cold storage are stricter. For example, to build a 20 cubic meter small pharmaceutical cold storage, most of which are enterprises that meet GSP standards and engage in the refrigeration of frozen pharmaceuticals. This type of company requires two independent cold storage units (or two independent refrigeration systems).

Design standards for pharmaceutical cold storage:

(1) Vaccine operations should be equipped with two or more independent cold storage facilities that are suitable for their scale and variety of operations;

(2) Automatic temperature monitoring, display, recording, adjustment, and alarm equipment for cold storage;

(3) Dual circuit power supply system for backup generator sets or refrigeration equipment in cold storage;

(4) For drugs with special low-temperature requirements, facilities and equipment that meet their storage requirements should be equipped;

(5) Equipment such as refrigerated trucks and on-board refrigerated or insulated boxes.
